New cutting edge bent shank tapper comes to Buckeye Fasteners

Fasteners has added a Shimazu Bent Shank Tapper to their Cleveland, Ohio operation. Buckeye Fasteners, established in 1905, services the automotive, appliance, food equipment, medical, metalworking, and furniture industries. The new Shimazu machine will take the place of two older machines and is one of many initiatives Buckeye Fasteners is taking to provide cutting-edge processes and manufacturer the highest quality fasteners to their customers. The Shimazu tapping machine is built for tapping round nuts with a pilot in the center of the nut. The machine is capable of adjusting from 3mm to 5mm tapping holes, as well as 6-32 to 10-32 SAE size (photo attached).
The machine has greatly improved efficiency and product quality. “Orders are able to go straight through with no backup time. Investing in the Shimazu has allowed us to have extremely quick turnaround. Tapping round nuts are very popular in a variety of industries, such as automotive, appliance, and metalworking.
