Pfeiffer Vacuum set to unveil new range of turbopumps and diaphragm pumps at analytica
Time:11 Apr,2016
Pfeiffer Vacuum, a global supplier of vacuum technology, is unveiling its new range of turbopumps and diaphragm pumps at the analytica show in Munich next month.
The new HiPace 30 is currently the most powerful turbopump of its size on the markets, with a pumping speeds of 32 litres per second (l/s). It’s low vibration level makes it ideal for compact analysis systems such as electron microscopes and leak detectors, and at just 2kg in weight, it is ideal for portable applications.

The HiPace 300 H is the most powerful compression turbopump currently available in the pumping speed class of 300 l/s, and has a compression ration of 107 for H2 for generating ultra-high vacuum. Additionally, the HiPace 300 H now features an ‘intermittent operation’ function, which automatically switched on a connecting backing pump if the backing pressure is no longer adequate. This reduces the energy consumption of the entire vacuum system by up to 90%.
Both these turbopumps contain hybrid bearings – a ceramic ball bearing on the fore-vacuum side and a permanent-magnet radial bearing on the high vacuum side – creating a robust bearing concept.
The new diaphragm backing pumps in the MVP DC have been designed by the German manufacturers to ideally support the HiPace turbopumps. By containing an automatic boost mode, the pump runs at full speed and reduces once a certain vacuum is reached, achieving long maintenance and low noise levels.
We are proud that our product developments for use in laboratory technology, analytics and biotechnology have been setting new standard across the entire vacuum industry for years
Additionally, by utilising unified communications via a D-sub connector, system installation is simplified, and the two-stage pumps are equipped with a magnetic gas ballast valve for added process reliability and longer service life of up to two years. They can also operate at temperatures ranging from 5°C to 40°C.
Manfred Bender, CEO of the German company, reinforced, “In an increasingly changing competitive environment, Pfieffer Vacuum is regarded as an ideally placed and very sound company. We are proud that our product developments for use in laboratory technology, analytics and biotechnology have been setting new standard across the entire vacuum industry for years.”
The analytica exhibition is an international trade fair featuring solutions along the value chain for modern laboratory purposes. It will be held in Munich, Germany, from 10th-13th May, 2016.
